Written in the front: When you mention Athens, the majestic and elegant Acropolis will immediately appear in people’s minds. In fact, at the foot of the Acropolis, there is a place that is more representative of ancient Greek civilization - Agora. This is where the ancient Greek philosophers, including Socrates, preached their doctrines, where Socrates’s trial and drinking and death took place. Today, what the rest of the Acropolis left are broken walls. Agora is also a devastated place. Many ancient buildings left only foundations. Even pillars are hard to find. It is difficult to imagine that this is the once ancient city center of Athens. However, this does not affect people’s pursuit of the sage. The people who came here stood at the entrance of Agora in a nearly pious mood, and appreciated the ethereal space left over from history. Because people are always convinced that time can only be carved out of the physical building entities, the essence of the sages are still left in the air here.
