埃德娜·圣·文森特·米莱是美国20世纪重要的女抒情诗人之一,也是美国第一位获得诺贝尔文学奖的女性作家。一生创作了许多优秀的抒情诗歌,写创作了许多关于解放女性问题的诗歌。《新生》作为米莱的代表作之一,展现了米莱在诗歌上的创作才能。《新生》讲述了一个在肉体和灵魂都已死亡的人是如何通过自然的洗礼而重获新生的。米莱在《新生》中采取了传统形式,但她表达的内容却是现代的。该文就米莱对一场雨的描写及这场被作者拟人化了的雨在其创作上的用意进行分析,来探索米莱在诗歌上的创作才能。
Edna San Vincent Millai is one of the important female lyric poets in the 20th century in the United States and the first female writer who won the Nobel Prize in literature in the United States. Life created a lot of good lyrical poems, write a lot of poetry on the liberation of women’s issues. As one of Mile’s masterpieces, “Freshman” shows Mile’s creative talent in poetry. The Newborn tells how a man who had both the body and the soul died was reborn by natural baptism. Millat took the traditional form of “freshmen,” but what she expressed was modern. This essay analyzes Millay’s description of a rain and the intention of this anthropomorphic rain in his creation to explore Millai’s creative talents in poetry.
