The first contact with a doctor after a diagnosis of diabetes and the subsequent doctor visits face many problems. The Intro Dia study, an early dialogue study in patients with type 2 diabetes, was the first to explore the role of non-drug factors in the better management and control of diabetes. The study, launched on December 2, 2013, is the world’s largest transnational diabetes survey to date that will include more than 10,000 self-reported and diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients, involving more than 6,500 physicians in 26 countries.
