图像在词典中被解释为各种图形摄像的总称,图像具有直观性、生动性的特征;书籍设计的基本构成要素有文字、版式和图像等,其中图像是活跃书籍的重要因素,图像包括摄影、插图、软件制图、手绘等等。图像不同于文字和色彩,它是一种特殊的表现形式,在书籍中,图像是对文字的视觉阐释,对书籍内容的视觉补充;图像与文字的融合,读者的想象力会激发出来,对内容也会有更深刻的理解,实现了读者与书籍的交流。
