人格一般始于儿童、青少年期,是从小逐渐形成的。人格虽然从儿童时就有发端,但到青春期开始显现,并一直持续到成年甚至终生。人年龄愈小,人格可塑性越大。中学生正处青春期,由于这个时期的学生生理发育迅速走向成熟,自我意识不断加强,思维独立性和批判性显著发展,更奠定了形成健全独立人格的基础和关键。按照互动、目标和群体意识的特征,中学生所处的最直接的正式群体是班级集体,因而班主任和班级集体必然成为学生成长的重要因素。
Personality generally began in childhood, adolescence, was gradually formed. Personality, although having its origins in childhood, manifests itself in adolescence and continues into adulthood or even life. The smaller the person’s age, the greater the personality plasticity. Middle school students are at their adolescence. As students’ physiological development in this period is rapidly maturing, their self-awareness is continuously strengthened, their independence of thought and their critical and significant development lay the foundation and key to the formation of a sound and independent personality. According to the characteristics of interaction, goal and group awareness, the most direct formal group in which middle school students live is the class collective. Therefore, the class teacher and the class collective are bound to become important factors for the students’ growth.
