从“发展是硬道理”到党的十六大强调把“发展作为执政兴国的第一要务”,发展是一条主线。这是历史经验教训的深刻总结。经济是基础,集中力量把经济搞上去,是发展的最核心内容,也是当前最大的政治任务。从浙江的实际看,我认为,当前抓发展经济,争取提前基本实现现代化,应当努力做好以下“四个一”的文章。

This is a profound summary of historical experiences and lessons. The economy is the foundation and concentrating our efforts on boosting the economy is the core content of development and the largest political task at present.
