本文意在探索当代的文献编集这类有别于其他采用类似编集形式的艺术作品,强调文献编集本身即艺术。笔者通过研究英国艺术家欧内斯特·埃德蒙(Ernest Edmonds,1942-)及其2000年以来以“注释”为名的创作,具体探讨了作品特征、创作起源和观念来源这几方面的问题。笔者分析了埃德蒙存放在德比郡哈瑟西奇档案馆的大量文档材料,结合伦敦维多利亚和阿尔伯特博物馆的照片、制图和绘画,以及近两年来自己对艺术家本人以及归档保存其作品的策展人的一系列访谈,给出了相应的答案。
This article is intended to explore contemporary literature collections that are different from other works of art that adopt similar forms of compilation, emphasizing that literature compilation itself is art.
