目前,我国工程教育规模位居世界第一,是工程人才培养大国,却远不是人才培养强国,人才质量难以满足需要。在瑞士洛桑发布的“世界竞争力报告”中,我国“合格的工程师”的数量和总体质量在参加排名的55个国家中仅列位第48。合格工程科技人才的短缺已经不能满足我国走“工业化道路”和建设创新型国家的需要。因此,提高人才培养质量,培养创新型的工程科技人才是高等工程教育的首要任务。按照高等工程教育的任务和培养目标要求,
At present, the scale of engineering education in our country ranks first in the world. It is a big country for engineering personnel training, but far from being a strong country for talent cultivation. The quality of qualified personnel can hardly meet the needs. In the World Competitiveness Report released by Lausanne, Switzerland, the number and overall quality of China’s “qualified engineers” ranked the 48th out of the 55 countries in the rankings. The shortage of qualified engineers and technicians can no longer meet the needs of China’s “industrialization road” and building an innovative nation. Therefore, to improve the quality of personnel training and to cultivate innovative engineering and technical personnel are the primary tasks of higher engineering education.
