由美国机械工程师协会主办的第六届机械传动国际学术会议(6th International Power Transmission and Gearing Conference)于1992年9月13日至16日在美国亚利桑那州首府菲尼克斯(Phoenix,俗称凤凰城)举行。会议主席由美国Dresser—Rand公司的动力机械传动专家Allen G.Stranford Jr.担任。出席本届传动会议有国际知名学者IlIinoise大学的F.L.Litvin教授、Ohio大学的Donald R.Houser教授、美国宇航局传动技术项目总管J.J.Coy博士等一大批知名学者、专家。其中美国宇航局刘易斯研究中心派出了阵容强大的代表团,包括D.Townsend、N.Anderson等在传动技术中颇有影响的专家。
The 6th International Power Transmission and Gearing Conference, sponsored by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, was held in Phoenix, the capital of Arizona, USA from September 13 to September 16, 1992. The chairman of the conference was Allen G.Stranford Jr., a power mechanical transmission expert from Dresser-Rand Company in the United States. Attendance at this session of the conference include internationally renowned scholar Professor F.L.Litvin of IlIinoise University, Professor Donald R.Houser of Ohio University, and Dr. J.J.Coy, the head of transmission technology project of NASA and a number of well-known scholars and experts. Among them, the NASA Lewis Research Center sent a strong delegation, including experts such as D.Townsend and N.Anderson, who have been influential in transmission technology.
