地貌是影响公路建设的最显著自然因素,不同的公路工程地貌类型能体现不同自然条件对公路建设的影响,提供更丰富的地形、地质、工程病害及工程难易程度等相关信息,因此有必要对公路工程的地貌类型进行详细的划分,使其能更充分的为公路建设服务。文章依据新疆地貌结构和公路建设的特点,提出了新疆公路工程地貌类型划分的异同性原则、形态成因一致性原则和实用性原则,以及综合地貌形态和成因、自上而下细分和自下而上合并的划分方法,在考虑公路工程的特点上对新疆公路工程地貌类型进行了详细的划分,结果分为4个一级类型和31个二级类型。
