中职教育是以就业为主要目的的教育,学生通过学校学习后是否能适应企业和社会发展需要就成了衡量中职教育成功与否的标尺。就当前中职英语教学而言,传统的思想和模式还在很大程度上影响着英语课堂教学效率,教师讲、学生听的模式让学生更多的还是停留在“学英语”层面上,这和“用英语”的中职教育目标相去甚远。在新的历史时期,以探究和体验为主的英语教学逐渐契合了企业和社会对英语人才的培养需求。情境教学就是在这一背景下应运而生的。
Vocational education is employment-based education, and whether students can adapt to the needs of enterprises and social development through school learning becomes the measure of success of secondary vocational education. As far as current vocational English teaching is concerned, the traditional thoughts and models still affect the efficiency of English classroom teaching to a great extent. Teachers say that students listen more or remain at the level of “learning English” This is far from the goal of secondary education in English. In the new historical period, English teaching based on inquiry and experience is gradually meeting the needs of enterprises and society for training English talents. Situational teaching came into being in this context.
