In this paper, mice were used as experimental materials, low-level ionizing radiation was preliminarily administered, and high-dose X-ray full irradiation was again conducted 3-6 hours later to observe the antagonistic effect of low dose radiation on large dose mutagenesis. Experimental results show that: chromosome aberration as the end point of observation, the bone marrow cells and primary spermatocytes chromosomal aberrations were lower than simple high-dose group (P <0.01). The male mice pretreated with 0.05GyX line for 6h and then irradiated 2.0GyX line. The fertility rate in 9wk group was significantly higher than that in high dose group (P <0.01). It shows that low level of ionizing radiation not only has the effect of reducing the damage of genetic material of mice, but also can improve the fertility of mice irradiated by high dose.
