在生产过程中,技术測量和檢驗工作占着很大比重。近几年来,在党的正确領导下,我国的机器制造工业正向着大量生产的方向迅速发展,同时对产品的精度要求也不断提高,但是技术檢驗工作还大大落后于基本生产工艺的发展,因此需要大量的檢驗人員、大批的测量工具和檢驗設备,檢驗时又大部分系手工操作,非机动的檢驗时間(包括生产工人在操作过程中的測量以及檢驗人員对完工零件的檢驗所耗費的时間)往往大大地超过了直接化費在生产上的时間,生产效率不高,已不能适应当前形势发展的需要;所以采用高效率的檢驗方法或檢驗自动化,已是目前一个迫切需要解决的問題。今年1月,上海柴油机厂对技术檢驗工作就开展了以大搞机械化、自动化为中心的技术革新运动,先后实施了七十多个革新項目,不仅提高了工作效率和保証了产品貭量,并为机械工业走向高新精尖創造了条件。3月中,上海市計量管理处在該厂召开了現場会議,会上并由該厂介紹了厂內計量檢驗工作大闹技术革新的情况。下面所介紹的外圓磨床尺寸自动控制仪(即电子自动檢驗仪),即是这些革新項目中比較突出的一項。
