蟒河济源水文站所处蟒河,为黄河支流,下游建有白墙水库,为国家重点防洪河段,济源水文站的中长期洪水预报,关系到济源市工农生产和人民群众财产安全,重点是保护城镇、水库工程安全以及黄河防洪防汛,通过统计学方法结合气象学、水文学和水文中长期预报,用多元回归法作出济源水文站的1997～1999年平均流量预报模型,并进行检验和评定。
