凤城碱性岩由赛马、顾家、叆阳、柏林川四个岩株组成,岩相分异完整,为多期、多相的复式杂岩体,蕴藏有丰富的稀土、稀有、放射性以及非金属矿产资源。本文在论述岩体地质特征的基础上,据K-Ar和U-Th-Pb法测定年龄结果,进行岩体成因时代研究,认为该区碱性岩浆侵入时代为200~240Ma之间,贯穿在整个三叠纪时期内,岩体形成于印支期。通过岩体特征及成因时代研究,对指导该区进行与碱性岩体有关的矿产资源勘查与开发具有重要现实意义。
