February 13, 2008) Provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities Labor and Social Security Bureau (Bureau): December 29, 2007. “People's Republic of China Labor Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Law” ( Hereinafter referred to as the “Labor Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Law”) was reviewed and approved by the 31st meeting of the 10th NPC Standing Committee and announced by Chairman No. 80 signed by President Hu Jintao, effective May 1, 2008. Following the “Labor Contract Law” and the “Employment Promotion Law”, the promulgation of the “Labor Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Law” has further perfected the legal system of labor security in our country and has great significance in protecting the legitimate rights of parties
