我国现有森林17.3亿亩,其中用材林12.1亿亩。我国年发生森林病虫害面积约1亿亩,主要森林害虫约100多种,年损失木材1000万立方米。我国已有333个自然保护区,已灭绝和濒于灭绝的野生动物达20余种。我国现有种子园17万多亩,釆穗圃8万多亩,用良种造林的比例仅占5%左右。我国防护林比重低,只占国土面积的10%,占有林地面积的9.1%。全国地区以上的独立林业研究机构共256个,专业科技人员近800人。
China’s existing forest 1.73 billion mu, of which 1.21 billion mu of timber forest. In our country, there are about 1 million mu of forest pests and diseases, about 100 kinds of main forest pests, and annual loss of 10 million cubic meters of timber. There are 333 nature reserves in our country, with more than 20 kinds of wild animals extinct and endangered. There are 170,000 mu of seed orchards in our country and more than 80,000 mu of spike gardens, accounting for only 5% of the total. The low proportion of shelter forests in our country only accounts for 10% of the land area and 9.1% of the forest land. There are totally 256 independent forestry research institutes in the entire country and nearly 800 specialized scientific and technical personnel.
