美国斯坦福大学胡佛研究所藏张嘉璈日记手稿本,起讫日期1935年6月至1979年10月,涵盖了张氏辞去中国银行总经理之后的主要经历及晚年旅美生活。与海内外现有已经开放与刊行的档案文献相比,胡佛研究所藏张嘉璈日记手稿本具有鲜明的个人特色,无论对于深入张嘉璈本人的研究、还是对于拓展民国金融史、政治史、中外关系史的研究领域,均有不可替代的重要价值。为了推进相关的研究,应对胡佛研究所藏张嘉璈日记进行全面整理、校勘与考订,并与已有相关史料相互校核,补充空白和纠正谬误之处。
From the June 1935 to October 1979, Stanford University Hoover Institute’s Zhang Jia 璈 diary manuscript contains the main experience of Zhang’s resignation from the general manager of Bank of China and his later life in the United States. Compared with the archives that have been opened and published at home and abroad, the manuscript of Zhang Jia 璈 diary of the Hoover Institute has distinctive personal characteristics.
