花生,历来是一种旱作物。它喜欢比较干燥、疏松的砂质土壤。在它的生长期中,水多了,前期会烂种,后期会烂果。它的“脾气”,一般地说是喜干不喜水。 花生的这种脾气,决定了种花生只能在旱地里种,不能在水田里种;只适合在高地上种,不适合在低洼田里种。江南水网地区,到处是河湖港汊,适合种花生的田块很少。我们要提高花生的产量,就受到很大的限制。
