福建省平潭综合实验区位于福州市东南部海域的平潭县。平潭县面积392.92平方千米,由海坛岛等126个岛屿和近千个岩礁组成,主岛海坛岛为中国第五大岛。海坛岛面积324.12平方千米,海域面积6064平方公里,海岸线长408公里。福建省平潭综合实验区的发展定位为探索两岸交流合作先行先试的示范区和海峡西岸经济区科学发展的先行区。
Pingtan, Fujian Experimental Zone is located in the southeastern Fuzhou Pingtan County. Pingtan County covers an area of 392.92 square kilometers and consists of 126 islands such as Hai Tan Island and nearly a thousand rocky reefs. The main island, Haitan Island, is the fifth largest island in China. Haitan island area of 324.12 square kilometers, the sea area of 6,064 square kilometers, 408 kilometers long coastline. The development orientation of Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone in Fujian Province is to explore demonstration zones for pilot study of cross-Strait exchange and cooperation and pilot zones for scientific development in the economic zone on the west side of the Straits.
