近年来,日本在果菜类蔬菜种植上,已普遍采用了嫁接法。嫁接的好处是能够提高蔬菜的抗病力,尤其能够抵抗由于重茬引起的病害。这样,便于利用各种温室设备上的特点,固定种植某种果菜,弥补了温室设备不宜轻易更改的弱点。另外,如果以嫁接过的果菜同没有嫁接的果菜相比,即使在后者不发生病害的情况下,前者比后者也增产10%,因为未进行嫁接的果菜(特别是重茬的)很容易发生各种病害。
