汉代的地面建筑遗留下来的可谓寥若晨星,它们基本上都是石质建筑,这些建筑上有人工凿刻的画像,但没有壁画。壁画在汉代地面建筑中的残存,今天只能通过考古发掘出来的残垣断壁来获得线索,其难度不亚于大海捞针。迄今为止,全国只发现了一处遗迹,如果要求不那么严格,把距离汉代不远的秦宫壁画遗迹也计算在内,亦不过两处而已,图像资料的阙如,研究无从展开可想而知。然而近年来,笔者在整理文献和图像时发现,虽然直接的资料罕见,但是间接的资料和证据还是可以找到一些的。因此笔者
