From the “9 · 11 disaster” in the United States, a case of escape from a crew member was elaborated on the importance of setting fire emergency evacuation lighting and evacuation indicators in buildings. From the different functions of fire emergency evacuation lighting, emergency evacuation light and photoluminescent signs in building fire emergency lighting system, the advantages and disadvantages of the two are analyzed
