五味子是木兰科北五味子属多年生落叶木质藤本植物,是我省地道药材之一,素有“辽五味”之称。药用部分为成熟果实,具有(佥欠)肺、滋肾、生津、收汗、涩精之功效,主治肺虚喘咳、口干作渴、自汗盗汗、劳作赢瘦、梦遗滑精、久泻久痢等症。野生五味子生长在山区凉爽、腐殖质层厚、湿润而无积水的林缘、山谷溪流两岸和灌木丛间。五味子的种皮坚硬光滑,皮下具油层,吸水力差,自然条件下种子不易发芽,主要靠营养繁殖。近几年,野生五味子已人工栽培成功,其技术要点是:
