Since 1972, when Oppenheimer et al. First confirmed the existence of a high affinity, limited binding capacity specific T_3 receptor (T_3R) in rat liver and kidney nuclei, it has been demonstrated that the biological effect of thyroid hormones is mainly produced by the target nucleus T_3R. Studying the T 3 receptor not only has basic theory, but also has important guiding significance and practical value for clinical practice. This article reports the determination of peripheral blood lymphocyte nuclear T_3R and its significance in thyroid disease and low T 3 syndrome.
