Baumer Group of Switzerland has introduced a compact and innovative sensor product, the MESAX 70 Multipoint Laser Distance Sensor, for the measurement of difficult surfaces. The sensor is ready for use, eliminating the need for complicated conversion or external calibration software, providing accurate, repeatable measurements. The innovative multipoint measurement principle of Baumer Group Switzerland is based on the light-cutting method. The sensor records up to 600 measured values and then calculates the distance to the measured object based on intelligent analysis techniques. It can capture 500 distance measurements per second with a resolution of up to 2μm
