典籍的翻译对弘扬中华文化具有举足轻重的意义。《道德经》是我国古代典籍的典型代表。意象既是语言研究的对象,又是哲学研究的对象。本文梳理和总结文学意象的构成,并结合《道德经》的英译本,探讨中西意象转换的文化差异问题,以揭示意象在典籍翻译中的重要意义。
The translation of classics has a pivotal significance in promoting Chinese culture. “Moral Scriptures” is a typical representative of ancient Chinese classics. Image is not only the object of linguistic research but also the object of philosophical research. This paper combs and summarizes the composition of literary images and discusses the cultural differences between Chinese and western images in light of the English version of Tao Te Ching to reveal the significance of imagery in the translation of classics.
