本文以中国2004-2014年对外直接投资的面板数据为样本,从国事访问和孔子学院的视角分别考察了中国对外政治互动和文化交流对我国OFDI的影响。研究结果表明,政治互动和文化交流在增加中国与东道国之间政治互信、减少投资风险方面起到了积极作用,有助于促进中国OFDI的发展;进一步研究发现,政治互动和文化交流对促进中国OFDI的发展具有相互替代的作用,即政治互动能弥补因为文化交流不足对中国OFDI的消极影响,文化交流亦能弥补由于政治互动不足对中国OFDI造成的消极影响。
Based on the panel data of China’s OFDI from 2004 to 2014, this paper examines the impact of China’s external political interaction and cultural exchange on China’s OFDI from the perspectives of state visits and Confucius Institutes. The results show that political interaction and cultural exchanges play an active role in increasing political mutual trust between China and host countries and reducing investment risks, which helps to promote the development of OFDI in China. Further research shows that political interaction and cultural exchange have a positive effect on promoting China’s OFDI Has the function of mutual replacement. That is, the political interaction can make up for the negative impact of OFDI on China due to the lack of cultural exchange, and cultural exchanges can make up for the negative impact caused by the lack of political interaction on OFDI in China.
