《全日制义务教育语文课程标准》提出了“综合性学习”的要求,以加强语文课程与其他课程与生活的联系,促进学生语文素养的整体推进和协调发展。语文素养是指能适应生活需要的、整合的、具有可持续发展前景的综合素养。要培养这种以促进人的发展为宗旨的综合素养,必须将教育与生活紧密相连。教学的生活化是将教学活动置于现实的生活背景之中,从而激发学生作为生活主体参与活动的强烈愿望,同时将教学的目的、要求转化为学生作为生活主体的内在需要,让他们在生活中学习,在学习中更好地生活,从而获得有活力的知识,并使情操得到真正的陶冶。
