1949年,香农和韦弗发表了题为《传播的数学理论》的著名论文,该论文提到信息及其一系列概念,使之成为信息论的奠基之作。香农把“信息”定义为:用于消除不确定性的东西。在此基础上,香农提出了一般传播系统简图以及“熵”、冗余信息、噪音等相关概念。对“熵”的概念进行阐释有助于“冗余”的理解。
In 1949, Shannon and Weaver published a famous essay entitled “Mathematical Theory of Communication,” which refers to information and a series of concepts that make it the foundation of information theory. Shannon defines “information” as something that is used to eliminate uncertainty. On this basis, Shannon put forward the general communication system diagram and “entropy ”, redundant information, noise and other related concepts. Explaining the notion of “entropy” contributes to the understanding of “redundancy.”
