答:经国务院批准,教育部、国家计委、财政部近日发出关于坚决治理农村中小学乱收费问题的通知,要求各地认真贯彻执行。通知指出,对农村中小学乱收费进行专项治理是党中央、国务院为进一步减轻农民负担而采取的一项重大措施。当前在一些地方农村中小学乱收费仍然存在,有的问题严重,主要表现在:一些地方政府和部门越权设立向学生收费的项目;一些教育部门和学校违反规定自行提高收费标准,强行由农村中小学校代收种种费用;一此单位向学校摊派费用;学校用书不规范、课本费偏高等。为此,2001年要继续深入开展对农村中小学乱收费的专项治理工作,进一步规范农村中小学收费。
