《天仙配》、《宝莲灯》等影片恢复放映以后,有的观众(包括电影放映系统的一些同志)有疑问,认为这些影片中出现了鬼神、仙女,是不是在宣扬迷信?这类影片的上映对于当前宣传要破除迷信、解放思想是不是有矛盾?什么叫迷信?迷信和宗教一样是“麻醉人民的鸦片”。在阶级社会里,它是被压迫、被剥削人民所蒙受的精神压迫的一种。迷信一般地是指相信星占、卜筮、风水、命相、鬼神等,也指盲目地信仰或崇拜,如迷信书本、迷信古人、迷信洋人。
