嗜碱粒细胞是血液内含有嗜碱颗粒的细胞,肥大细胞则是结缔组织内含有大量嗜碱性颗粒的细胞。目前已知,嗜碱粒细胞和肥大细胞它们所含有的颗粒物质和功能十分相似,因此两者统称为嗜碱肥大细胞系统。现将此系统的细胞所含物质及生物学功能介绍如下:
Basophils are cells that contain basophilic granules in the blood, while mast cells are cells that contain large amounts of basophilic granules in the connective tissue. It is now known that basophils and mast cells are very similar in function to the particulate material they contain and are therefore collectively referred to as the basophilic mast cell system.
