到诸暨,印象深刻的除了经济提质加速,还有开展得有声有色的群众体育运动。诸暨是全国体育先进县市、全国田径之乡、浙江省首批体育强市,2000年荣获首批全国篮球城市。乒乓球迷倒西施故里前不久,来自24个省市自治区、36个历史文化名城的81支乒乓球队齐聚诸暨,参加由诸暨市政府承办的“山下湖珍珠杯”全国历史文化名城乒乓球比赛。
