Some properties and thermal decomposition of iron(Ⅲ)oxalate supported on HZSM-5and HY zeolites have been studied by GC,IR,and Mssbauer spectroscopy methods.Thermaldecomposition of unsupported iron(Ⅲ)oxalate took place in two stages:as indicated by peak a(givingCO_2)and peak γ(yielding CO and CO_2),but for iron(Ⅲ)oxalate supported on zeolites,an addi-tional peak β(producing CO and CO_2)appeared as a result of the interaction between C_2O_4~(2-) andAl~(3+).At 500℃ Fe_2(C_2O_4)_3-HZSM-5 system produced α-Fe in H_2 due to the weak interaction be-tween the salt and the support. For Fe_2(C_2O_4)_3-HY system in H_2,at 500℃ the solid products con-sisted of α-Fe and a little highly dispersed Fe(0)together with Fe(Ⅱ)and F(Ⅲ)oxides, which weredifficult to be reduced.
Some properties and thermal decomposition of iron (III) oxalate supported on HZSM-5 and HY zeolites have been studied by GC, IR, and Mssbauer spectroscopy methods. Thermodecomposition of unsupported iron (Ⅲ) oxalate took place in two stages: as indicated by peak a (givingCO_2) and peakγ (yielding CO and CO_2), but for iron (Ⅲ) oxalate supported on zeolites, an addi-tional peak β (producing CO and CO_2) was a result of the interaction between C_2O_4 ~ (2) - Fe in H 2 due to the weak interaction be-tween the salt and the support. For Fe 2 (C 2 O 4) 3-HY system in H 2, at 500 ℃ the solid products con-sisted of α-Fe and a little highly dispersed Fe (0) together with Fe (Ⅱ) and F (Ⅲ) oxides, which weredifficult to be reduced.
