The image of Wu Dalao in “Outlaws of the Marsh” has always been neglected by researchers, and the few articles that involve him are mostly poor and kind. Moral judgments and weak sympathy often make us ignore the other side of Wu Dalang: poor outside the nasty. If the poor also belong to the components of humanity, then the damn is derived from the little man who belongs to that era and the system of birth under the tumor. In him, there is a contradiction of personality: there is a “small heart” in the stupid mind, which is usually cowardly but surprisingly brave when its own male fundamental authority is violated. The reason for such a contradiction is his funny marriage: For Wu, Yuanshengfangfei can not become a happy life, but his proof of the existence of Pan Jinlian is not his Wife, but a woman, a symbol - a symbol of Wu da has a possession of a beautiful woman in order to obtain the basic self-esteem. In order to stabilize this symbol, he did not hesitate to give up; in order not to lose the right to absolute possession, he at the same time marred the marriage as a prisoner of a woman, and showed extraordinary courage when someone tried to challenge his absolute possession.
