周家盐号位于铜仁思南县城思唐镇安化街,是由龙门、五间正房、六间厢房、五间对厅、盐仓和前、后居家花园组成的古典四合院。周围绕以高墙,清幽雅静,是一个集食盐贩运、销售、储存和居家为一体的大型宅院。现庭院内尚遗留有当年盐号量衡器、石砝码,上刻“斤、两”字样,清晰可辨。其整体建筑为木质结构,四周窗户雕龙凤、刻花草,气势宏伟,古朴典雅、做工精细,形态优雅逼真,富有古色古香的民族工艺特色整个建筑占地面积1600多平方米,大小居室30余间。建筑房屋围成四合院,自成一统,古也称为“周家统子”。周家盐号是清朝商贸繁荣的历史见证,同时也是乌江航运及商贸繁荣的历史文化佐证,2006年5月25日被国务院命名为第六批国家级重点文物保护单位。
