芽孢（endospore）又称内生孢子,是细菌休眠体。常见的产芽孢细菌主要为芽孢杆菌属（Bacillus）、梭状芽孢杆菌属（Clostridium）、芽孢乳酸菌属（Sporolactobacillus）等。产芽孢细菌在营养条件缺乏时,在细胞内形成圆形或椭圆形的芽孢休眠体。
