When the programmable controller was first introduced in 1969, it possessed many of the features it still has: memory retention, relay ladder programming, independent input / output sections, component maintenance, simple HMI Interface and logical scanning. These features may improve, but in the foreseeable five to ten years, they will continue to exist in a new generation of programmable logic controller. Relatively speaking, the new equipment has progressed more slowly and has to be adopted after it is generally accepted.
