上世纪80年代初,我就喜欢上了盆景,而且特别钟情悬崖式盆景。由于植物习性之故,总是向上生长,除了一些生长在悬崖绝壁之上的松柏之外,通常情况下很难见到向下生长的植物,所以很长时间一直没有找到适合作悬崖式盆景的桩材。虽然每年春天都在花市里寻寻觅觅,但一直没有心仪的对象。直到1988年初春的一天,一个偶然的机会,得到一棵柞木树桩,才算如愿以偿,从此开始了长达24年的悬崖式柞木盆景的创作历程。
