美国南加州大学音乐史学系主任B·西姆斯博士 (B·Simms) 1986年出版了一本书《2 0世纪的音乐———风格与结构》。该书的前三章集中论述了 2 0世纪西方以调性发展为中心的和声语言演化过程以及作曲大师们在这场变革中各自的实践 ,并提出一些重要的新概念。这里发表的是该书的第一章 ,另两章———《和声与动机的一体化 ,“不协和音的解放”》、《含三和弦的和声 ,自然音集与调性》亦将陆续在本刊发表
B. Simms, director of the Department of Music History at the University of Southern California, published a book entitled “Music - Style and Structure in the Twentieth Century” in 1986. The first three chapters of the book focus on the evolution of the harmony phonetics in the West in the twentieth century as the central theme of tonality and the respective practices of composers in this transformation and put forward some important new concepts. Here is the first chapter of the book, the other two chapters - “Integration of harmony and motivation,” “Liberation of uncoordinated sounds”, “Harmony with three chords, Natural soundtracks and tonality” Will also be published one after another in this magazine
