1969年凯勒氏(Cuyler)连续报告14例幼儿先天性心脏病并发特殊类型的面瘫。这种面瘫只牵涉到二个面肌就是颏肌、及下唇方肌。这二个肌肉是由面神经的一枝下颌神经支配。当患儿啼哭时此种面肌无力症状就显得很清楚。此14例均显单侧面肌症状,其中12例属右侧。所有患儿都持续有此症状,仅仅3例稍有症状减轻之势。好些患者心脏病变是多种的。室间隔缺损最常见,14例中
In 1969, Cuyler reported 14 consecutive cases of congenital heart disease in children with special type of facial paralysis. This facial paralysis involves only two facial muscles is the chin muscle, and lower lip muscle. The two muscles are dominated by the mandibular nerve of the facial nerve. When the children cry when such facial weakness symptoms seem very clear. All 14 cases showed unilateral facial muscle symptoms, of which 12 cases belong to the right side.
