由广东、广西、海南、湖南、湖北和河南六省炼钢界人士参加的中南六省第三届炼钢学术会议,1990年9月在湖南慈利县举行。 1988年湖北省金属学会倡议举行中南六省炼钢学术会议,交流六省炼钢行业在技术进步、技术改造和工艺改革等方面的经验,以推动六省炼钢技术的发展。这一倡议得到其它五省金属学会的热烈支持,商定各省轮流主持,当年由湖北省金属学会主持,举行了中南六省第一届炼钢学术会议。1989年由广东省金属学会主持举行了第二届炼钢学术会
The third steelmaking academic conference in six provinces of Central South China attended by the steelmaking people from six provinces of Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Hunan, Hubei and Henan participated in September 1990 in Cili County, Hunan. In 1988, Hubei Metallurgical Society proposed to hold six Sino-South steelmaking academic conferences to exchange experience in technological improvement, technological transformation and process reform in six provinces to promote the development of steelmaking technology in six provinces. This initiative was warmly supported by the other five provincial metal societies and agreed that the provinces should take turns to host the ceremony.
