使用硅藻土部分代替粗粒度的重质碳酸钙(GCC)进行涂布实验。研究了硅藻土对无光和亚光涂布纸的光泽度、印刷光泽度、干拉毛强度、油墨吸收性的影响。结果表明,硅藻土在不显著增加涂布纸粗糙度的情况下,能有效降低涂布纸的光泽度。虽然涂布纸的Delta光泽度亦有所下降,但仍维持在较高的水平(>35%)。硅藻土能够增加涂布纸的干拉毛强度,提高K&N油墨吸收性,但会降低印刷密度。硅藻土可以增加油墨吸收速率,但该作用只有在硅藻土使用量较大(15份、20份)时,表现较为明显。
Coating experiments were performed using diatomaceous earth partially instead of coarse-grained heavy calcium carbonate (GCC). The effects of diatomite on the gloss, printing gloss, dry napping strength and ink absorbency of matt and matte coated paper were studied. The results show that diatomite can effectively reduce the gloss of coated paper without significantly increasing the roughness of coated paper. Although the Delta gloss of coated paper also declined, it remained at a high level (> 35%). Diatomaceous earth can increase the dry nap strength of coated paper, improve the absorbency of K & N ink, but reduce the printing density. Diatomaceous earth can increase the ink absorption rate, but the effect is obvious only when the diatomite is used in a large amount (15 parts and 20 parts).
