甲状腺功能低下是先天性低智能儿的常见原因之一,若能在出生三个月内确诊并给予治疗,则75％的患儿智商可增至85;若延至出生后3～7个月方开始治疗,则85％的患儿将遗留下不可逆转的智能损害。
