本发明提供了能提高电弧重燃特性的真空管用触头材料的制造方法。将导电成分 (Cu、Ag中至少一种 )和耐电弧成分 (W、Mo、WC、Mo C中至少一种 )按所定量进行混合 ,制得混合体。混合体在非氧化性气氛中烧结 ,制得平板状的烧结体。由上述两个工艺过程构成的触头材料的制法中 ,平板状烧结体在加热时 ,加热前沿从烧结体的一端到另一端 ,以 0 .1~ 2 0 mm/秒的速度移动。这样可制得除去了烧结体面上的污染物、热应力并抑制了加工变形、具有电弧重燃特性优良的触头材料
