中国电工技术学会工业与建筑应用专业委员会于1985年10月正式成立。该委员会秘书处挂靠在机械工业部第八设计研究院。 最近该专业委员会已内部发行《电气工程应用》刊物。该刊物是在长沙电气工程师学会会刊《电气设计技术》和机械工业部系统电气设计科技情报网网刊《电气设计通讯》的基础上创办的。作为中国电工技术学会工业与建筑应用专业委员会会刊。 《电气工程应用》主要刊登内容是:工矿企业自备发电站、电力、高低压配电系统、电力应用、电气传动、电气自动化(包括微机应用);照明、防雷、接地、企事业内部通信;电气设备选用;操作运行和维修;电工产品性能及发展方向介绍;节能节电;规程规范讨论;电气工程应用的信息和技术动态;学会活动动态;用户对电工产品的意见以及国内外申工新技术文摘等。
