编撰志书已有若干年的历史了,这一优良的传统在十年动乱期间,也曾一度中断,前几年又把这一项工作重新搞起来了,对此我感到十分欣慰。编撰社会主义的新方志,不仅是中国史学的重要组成部分,也是社会主义建设的重要组成部分。因为要建设具有中国特色的社会主义,就必须要弄清国情,使认识符合客观实际,所以我认为修志是时代的需要,是和我们的奋斗目标一致的。就是说要突出时代的特色。从这个意义上讲,编写新志是一项十分艰巨的开拓性工程。这就要求方志工作者认真学习马列主义,研究人类改造自然的历史,从历史到现状都应予以概述。要集中地、历史地再现一个地方,一个行业,一个单位的情况,从小志见小志,各自的特点就呈现出来了。它就可以直接为我们的现代化建设服务。所以要充分明白修志是从建设美好的社会主义出发的。在修志时就应该首先认识清历史的沿
It has been some years since the compilation of this book was recorded. This fine tradition was once again interrupted during the ten-year turmoil and was rekindled in the previous few years.
