天安门是我国首都北京的中心。它始建于明代永乐十五年,即公元1417年,是皇城的正门,初称承天门。设计者叫蒯祥。皇帝朱棣迁都北京,建造皇宫,他把天看作至高无上和主宰一切,把自己说成是承受天命来治理国家、统治人民的真龙天子,所以,把皇城的正门,命名为承天门。同时,也有祈祷上天降世吉祥之意。明天顺元年七月七日,即公元1457年7月27日,承天门遭受雷击,发生火灾,城楼被毁,1465年修复。明崇祯十七年四月十九日,即
