在茫茫的大海中,生活着一种狭长形的身长通常只有20厘米的小鱼。然而就是这种小鱼,以它那细小的躯体.竟然能吞噬比它大两三倍的大鱼!这种小鱼被人称为“吞噬鱼”。吞噬鱼颚骨的构造,与陆地上的蛇一样,上下颚能大幅度地延展,使猎物通过。吞噬鱼生活在深海里,它们也与其它深海鱼类一样,拥有发光的本领,既可以看到周围的物体,又能够吸引其它猎物游近。
In the vast sea, there is a small, elongated fish that is usually only 20 centimeters in length. However, this small fish, with its small body, can devour large fish two or three times larger than it is! This small fish is known as “swallowing fish.” The structure that devours the fish’s cheekbones, like the snakes on the land, can greatly extend the upper and lower jaws, allowing the prey to pass through. Swallowing fish live in the deep sea. Like other deep-sea fishes, they also have a luminous ability. They can both see the surrounding objects and attract other prey.
